Consorzio Interuniversitario di Risonanze Magnetiche di Metalloproteine Paramagnetiche

Consorzio Interuniversitario di Risonanze Magnetiche di Metalloproteine Paramagnetiche (CIRMMP) unites the universities of Florence, Siena and Bologna for the study of paramagnetic metalloproteins and metalloenzymes. The Magnetic Resonance Center of CIRMMP, CERM, is a Research Infrastructure for the exploration of fundamental biological questions. CERM hosts approximately 85 people, and has stimulated two important initiatives: ProtEra, a commercial spin-off company, and FiorGen, a non-profit organisation for pharmacogenomics.

The research activity at CERM encompasses bioinformatics, structural genomics and structural biology, pharmaceutical development, metabolomics, advancements in NMR methodologies, and relaxometry. CERM has a long tradition of excellence and uniqueness in the field of metalloproteins and in particular on paramagnetic targets.
