Consorzio Interuniversitario Risonanze Magnetiche di Metallo Proteine

CIRMMP is an infrastructure for Life Sciences, which provides a unique environment for research in the field of structural biology and metabolomics. CIRMMP is financed by the Italian Ministry for Education, University and Research, MIUR, by the EC, and by charitable organisations. The EU has recognised CIRMMP and its NMR laboratory (CERM, University of Florence) as a Large Research Infrastructure in the field of NMR. Since 2007 CERM/CIRMMP is one of the core labs of the Instruct ERIC European Research Infrastructure Consortium (INSTRUCT ERIC). CERM/CIRMMP has promoted important initiatives: The industrial spin-off Giotto Biotech (www.giottobiotech.com); the non-profit foundation for biomedical research called FiorGen (www.fiorgen.net) and the metabolomics-oriented biobank (daVinci European Biobank; www.davincieuropeanbiobank.org); the creation of the international consortium EXCEMET (EXpert CEnter for METabolomics).
